The suppliers of biosanica have long-term experience in controlled farming of organic fruits. The majority of these companies are among the first pioneers within the organic industry. Our partners in the organic fruit farming are national and throughout Europe distributed over the best growing regions. Each region and each supplier is characterized by an individual specification. Different kind of apples and other kinds of fruits are produced, availability of raw material differs regionally and according to kind and season. On one hand this assures a high flexibility for biosanica and on the other hand the necessary continuity in obtaining raw materials. Our long-term suppliers are not only supplying us, but primarily the complete food trade and organic food stores.
The most important growing regions:
Island Rügen near Stralsund
The fruit production on germany's biggest island, outside the gates of the hanseatic city Stralsund happens in the northernmost growing regions and enables biosanica to obtain local organic fruits.
Altes Land near Hamburg
The region “Altes Land” near Hamburg is the largest continous fruit-growing area of Northen Europe. On a growing area of all in all about 10.000 hectare the apple-cultivation is dominating with a percentage of 90 %.
Bodensee region (Lake Constance)
The Bodensee region is a traditional fruit growing area.
It is climatically supported by the Lake Constance.
With a cultivation area of 7000 hectare apple is the main culture in this region.
Styria in Austria
In Styria the fruit production goes back to the Roman Age. Today 70 % of the growing area in the alpine republic are in Styria, thus this is the fruit area Nr. 1 in Austria.
South Tyrol in Italy
With a total growing area of 18.000 hektare South Tyrol is the biggest self contained fruit growing area in Europe. The sunny mediterranean climate offers best conditions for the growing of fruit.
